Kannon is the Lord of Compassion and Goddess of Mercy and is represented as both Male and Female. Kannon is “the one who sees and hears all.” The purpose of Kannon is to listen to the prayers and cries of those in difficulty and to help them achieve enlightenment. Certain Japanese sources say that Kannon is the reincarnation of Quan Yin. With this in mind, this figure was constructed from an icosahedrons with its sides stellated(drawn to a point). The energy emitted from this form has a strong tendency to quiet the soul.
